Three million affected as death toll rises. Communications have been severely impaired so no one knows the exact number, but over 3,000 are believed dead. The aftermath of the cyclone also revealed flattened homes, destroyed crops, dead animals and livestock, and thousands of homeless and injured people in desperate need of help.
Homes made of thatch and wood demolished by winds.
“Our people really need help to survive. They need food, shelter, and medicine as well,” said Jatish Biswas, leader of the Way of Life Trust in Kushtia via email that reached us only today. Please pray for these missionaries as they struggle to rebuild lives. Pray also for other ministries in Bangladesh we have not yet heard from. Funds sent directly to ministries like these enable our brethren to give immediate help while exalting the name of Christ.
I want to help the people of Bangladesh affected by Tropical Cyclone Sidr.
A sturdy home like this can be built for about $400.
